SCENE 1 | Susan gives the kids a lecture on the differences between a small "b" and a small "d." Oscar interjects, finding the styrofoam letters she's using as boring. The group reconvenes around Oscar's trash can as Oscar displays his own letters: a small "b" that is battered, broken, and beat-up, and a small "d" that's dusty, dirty, and disgusting. Susan agrees that his letters are better visual aids, so she and the kids thank Oscar with hugs and kisses. | |
