Iver reads a book about monkeys and finds them very funny. He decides he wants to make a monkey happy, too, and asks the question of the day, "What can a Hoob give a monkey to make him happy?"
Hubba Hubba shows clips of monkeys hanging about, and Iver realizes they like to be in trees. He suggests giving a monkey a tree, but Tula points out that they don't have a Peep tree and even if they did, they don't have a way to carry it. Roma then reports from a jungle and tells the gang what she's learned from monkeys, including that swinging is a monkey's favorite game.
Iver wants to give a monkey a new game but doesn't know what it should be, so he sends Groove to ask some Tiddlypeeps for ideas. The Tiddlypeeps suggest a rhyme, reciting "Five Little Monkeys." However, he notes that monkeys don't speak English. This gives Iver the idea to talk like a monkey with a monkey. Iver, Tula, Groove, and Hubba Hubba sing "Monkey Talk."
The Hoobs realize that because they can't understand monkey, they run the risk of saying something offensive, and that wouldn't make a monkey happy at all. Hubba Hubba shows the story of a young monkey named Teeny who recently moved to a new jungle and longs to make friends with the other monkeys nearby.
Inspired by the end of the story, in which Teeny's mother cleans Teeny's fur for a party, Tula wants to give a monkey a fur cleanse. When Iver points out she'd have to eat all the bugs and dusty bits, the Hoobs go back to the drawing board. Iver visits some Tiddlypeeps to see what other stuff monkeys eat, learning that bananas are a monkey's favorite. The Hoobs then announce their findings during Hoob News.
