Iver, Tula, and Groove have a Hooby Think to solve their dilemmas: Iver is struggling to come up with a question for today's Hoob News, Tula doesn't know what to draw, and Groove wonders how they'd get to the Tiddlypeeps if they didn't have the Hoobmobile. When Iver and Tula suggest running, Groove lists all the reasons he dislikes it, which inspires Tula to draw him running, and sparks the question of the day: "How can we persuade Groove that running is a hooby-groovy idea when you want to get somewhere fast?"
Inspired by the way ants run, Iver gives Groove a six-legged belt, but when he falls down, he decides it doesn't work for him. Groove then asks some Tiddlypeeps for advice and learns about cars, scooters, and motorcycles. When he gets back to the Hoobmobile, Iver points out he doesn't have one of those "zoomy machines," and Groove sings "Running Groove."
Hubba Hubba shares the story of three rabbits named Rolie Polie, Hippy Hoppy, and Runny Bunny who each have their favorite way of moving: rolling, hopping, and running, respectively. When a big carrot falls from a tractor, only Runny Bunny reaches it quickly, teaching the others that while rolling and hopping are fun, running is the fastest way to get around.
Groove tries hopping, rolling, and a combination of the two, all of which fail. Roma reports from a marathon, where she explains that running also keeps you fit, yet Groove still refuses, saying it's not fun. He visits the Tiddlypeeps once more and learns about a chasing game, which he finds very fun.
Tula finishes her drawing, and Groove, finally convinced it's fun, can't stop running. The Hoobs then present Hoob News.
