SCENE 3 | The Amazing Mumford gathers Bob, Maria, Yvette, and Percy to witness a magic trick. He says his magic words — "à la peanut butter sandwiches" — and makes the newsstand disappear. Everyone's amazed, but Mumford had something else in mind, so he brings it back. On a second attempt, he makes the table and chairs go away, but he's still displeased, so he conjures them back up again. For his third try, he urges everyone (including the viewer) to say the magic words along with him this time. After a final puff of smoke, Mumford has made Sesame Street disappear, placing himself and his companions in a staticky void. | |
