Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 The adults discuss some transportation, as Big Bird tries to guess what they're talking about. He thinks they're discussing a noisy, underground worm, but it's actually the subway. He asks if he can join them on the train, as he needs to visit his friend Petula Pigeon downtown. They all head out, with Big Bird commenting that he hopes they avoid that large, noisy worm.
SCENE 2 Susan and the kids rush to catch the train. Luis stops to buy a newspaper and finds he has no tokens. Because of the noise, the elderly Muppet change attendant misunderstands Luis' requests and thinks he's instead talking about the weather. Luis ends up missing the train and the attendant finally understands what Luis was asking for.
SCENE 3 As Gordon and the kids wait for a train, Oscar appears to participate in one of his favorite pastimes - listening to the noisy sounds of the trains passing by. Gordon tells him that they're now making trains that are much more quiet. Oscar can't believe his ears when another train comes by and makes minimal noise.
SCENE 4 Bob points out different sights to see as he and the kids ride a subway train.
SCENE 5 Everyone returns to the street from their various rides. They wonder where Big Bird could be, when Gordon explains he took a supposedly faster route to the surface instead of the stairs. Big Bird then pops his head out of Oscar's trash can, having taken a tunnel from the subway station. Oscar is heard complaining about the yellow feathers in his swimming pool.
