SCENE 1 Bob, Maria, Olivia, Mr. Hooper and the kids wait for Linda and her friend from the Little Theatre of the Deaf to arrive back from a trip to Andy's (Linda's father) farm. As they head toward the bus stop, they witness Alphabet Bates making a letter "U" overhead. Linda and the crew (including Andy, played by Andy Vasnick) arrive and Bob greets them while reacting to the skywriting: "!"
