SCENE 1 Grandma Grace is visiting the street again, having dinner at Gordon and Susan's apartment with Susan, David, Linda, Big Bird, and the kids (who are playing with a Lite-Brite). Suddenly, the power goes out. This prevents the gang from cooking the dinner, listening to music, and the youngsters' game. Grace isn't deterred, as she recalls her visits to her grandmother's, who didn't have electricity at all. She suggests everyone imagine being in that time.

SCENE 2 Big Bird heads out to find batteries for his Lite-Brite. Everyone else hangs around, continuing to imagine themselves 100 years ago in Grace's grandmother's cabin, which had a fireplace to provide light and heat. They don't have any wood for a fire in the Robinsons' fireplace, until Herry Monster arrives with an entire tree. Susan says it's too big for their fireplace, so Herry begins to karate chop the tree into smaller bits.

Muppets Ernie & Bert โ€” Ernie tries to put a pot on Bert's head. Bert asks Ernie why he's doing that, and Ernie says that he broke a cookie jar. Ernie has to put the cookies somewhere, so he put them in the sugar bowl โ€“ and put the sugar in the flowerpot, which meant that he had to put the flower in a milk bottle. He put the milk in the soda bottle, the soda into the fishbowl, and the fish in Bert's cowboy hat. Bert asks, "Now what am I going to wear when I want to play cowboy?" Ernie puts the pot on Bert's head and says, "Ride 'em, cowboy, Bert!"

Herbert hears Cookie Monster approaching, and hides to observe him. Cookie investigates the machine for a moment, then gets the cookies by karate-chopping the glass cover.
