The prince is visiting the street to find a young maiden who fits his glass slipper. David looks through Lance's saddlebags and finds the right shoe. He points them to the Fix-It Shop, where some fair maidens may be found.

SCENE 3 David convinces Maria and Olivia to go along with the glass slipper routine, as Prince Charming is their guest. They, with some other little girls and Big Bird (wish to participate for the fun of it), form a line. David goes down the line trying the shoe on, but it doesn't seem the right size for anyone, until Maria is shown to be a perfect fit. Prince Charming invites her back to the palace so the two can be wed and live happily ever after, but Maria confesses she already has her happily ever after living on Sesame Street. The Prince understands, but feels disappointed. Maria consoles him by treating him to a soda at Hooper's Store.
