When Kermit says goodbye to the viewers, he accidentally blurts out "open Sesame (Street News)," to which the rock opens and forty thieves come out, stealing Kermit's watch and all his clothes.

SCENE 2 Maria is unable to get lunch from Hooper's Store, which is closed for the day. Sam the Robot offers to make her a meal. She orders a bowl of chicken noodle soup, a turkey sandwich and some chocolate pudding. Unfortunately, Sam puts all the items together into the soup dish. After Maria corrects him, Oscar happens by and orders the same meal. He's displeased to see Sam producing a fully correct meal without all the items mushed together. Sam becomes confused, until Maria tells Oscar they can merely swap meals. Sam observes, "I do not understand you non-machine types."

Muppets Kermit's Lectures: Kermit explains how to read crosswalk signals in order to cross the street. The sign keeps changing throughout his demonstration, so he gets frustrated and says no one will show how to cross the street. As he leaves, the sign sprouts legs and crosses on its own.
