Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 Maria wonders why Hooper's Store has been tidied up, with plants and soft music playing. Mr. Hooper admits he's preparing for a visit from his "kid brother" Arnold. Big Bird hears this and rushes off to get his toys, bumping into an older man along the way. The man turns out to be Arnold, who thinks the store could be improved by losing all the plants and such. Big Bird returns with a wagon of playthings and is surprised to find Mr. Hooper's "kid brother" is actually an adult.

Muppets Ernie finds an apple on a brick wall, and wants to know who it belongs to. Sherlock Hemlock helps solve the mystery, and realizes that Ernie has a brown paper bag with a hole at the bottom, and that Ernie had an apple in the bag, therefore the apple belongs to Ernie.

Oscar confirms that this is instead to make Mr. Hooper resemble his own Grouch cousin, Murgatroyd.
