SCENE 1 Big Bird once again has trouble remembering Mr. Hooper's name. He thinks it would be easier if everyone had the same name and imagines a world where everyone shares his name. This quickly becomes confusing for everyone, unable to tell whose soup is being made or whose mail has been delivered. Big Bird realizes everyone sharing his name would be awful. He does think that if everyone were named "Himmelfarb," things would be easier, claiming no one could forget a name like that.

Grover, missing the point, tries ideas of his own to get warm, but they don't work. Finally, Kermit tells Grover that if he wants to get warm, he should come inside. Excited, Grover pulls Kermit aside and slams the door, locking Kermit outside. Grover goes to sleep in Kermit's armchair while the frozen frog scrapes at the window.
