He lets the viewer in on a trick he's about to pull on Olivia: he has an ordinary pitcher of regular grape juice, but the glass he has is full of holes. Olivia suspects something is up and correctly discovers the glass is rigged. Maria comes by and sips from it, getting juice all over her; she blames Olivia and storms off. Oscar thanks her for the help.

SCENE 3 Big Bird finds Bob in the midst of some carpentry in the yard, complaining about his sore thumb. Big Bird rattles off some silly stories about how he hurt his thumb such as Mr. Snuffleupagus assisting him or Martians in need of help with their spaceship. Bob admits he hammered it by accident, and Big Bird reveals he knew this all along; the stories were to take Bob's mind off the pain. Bob sees that Big Bird's method worked, but then drops the hammer on his foot. Big Bird begins to spin more crazy stories on why Bob's foot hurts, which Bob doesn't find so helpful anymore.
