SCENE 1 Countess Dahling von Dahling drives to Sesame Street in her Countessmobile. Gordon is reluctant to let her count him and the kids, citing the rain that always occurs when she finishes. The Countess assures him she will immediately put a stop to it by counting backwards. She counts the five people in the yard, then counts backwards to stop the rain. As she prepares to drive off, she counts their goodbyes, leaving them stuck in a downpour.
