SCENE 1 Telly tells the viewer he and Maria are about to go on a picnic, but Maria says they can't. Telly wonders what the problem could be, whether it's ants, poison ivy or even bears. Telly has something prepared to take care of all these issues. Maria instead points out it's because of the rain. Telly has prepared for this too - inflating a life raft in case the park floods.

Little Chrissy and the Alphabeats then come in and perform the song with Don.
