Mopatop opens the episode by offering a ball made of rice, a dog who says "nice" or a pile of ice.
Puppyduck is busy mopping the floor, and therefore the floor is slippery. A penguin enters the shop looking for something cold. Mopatop is sure that they have some cold somewhere. Meanwhile Father Mouse is also mopping the floor, when Moosey Mouse hurries up from the shop to let him and Mother Mouse know that there's a customer in the shop who is looking for something cold. Father Mouse quickly decides to put more water on the floor so it can freeze, while Mother Mouse fetches the ice skates. Mopatop returns with the cold box, but it's full of gold. Puppyduck then checks the gold box and discovers that it's full of old, giving everyone a grey beard. Puppyduck then checks the old box and finds the cold, which the penguin likes. A side effect of the cold is that the floor in the shop turns into ice as well as the Mouse family's floor, and everyone starts to sing a song about skating. The penguin is happy, but decides to leave the cold behind so that they can keep skating. However, Puppyduck is not that happy about the ice, so Mopatop goes to find something hot. He returns with something hot and the ice melts.
