SCENE 1 | Oscar's trash can area has been converted into a fast food establishment - "Colonel Oscar's Eat and Beat It" (with "Over 0 Sold" proudly displayed on a sign). Oscar, wearing a string tie and white moustache and goatee, boasts that his joint is the best and will soon be franchised across the country. Luis is doubtful, even after hearing two Grouches (Brian Muehl and Kathryn Mullen) sing the restaurant's jingle: "Have it our way - we don't care about you! Pbbbbffft!" Luis scans the menu for something edible - taco royals (tacos with ice cream), a Big Muck on a bun, and finally, the special thirty-second lunch: a bowl of soup, hamburger and milk. Luis orders the special, wondering if it can really be made in just thirty seconds. Oscar instructs Luis to pile all those items into a blender, thus creating the special. Luis refuses to give the slop a taste and deems the place unfit for anyone. Oscar is glad to get such positive feedback, and tells his dissatisfied customer to "beat it." | |
