SCENE 1 Oscar isn't enjoying his night, as Buffy and Cody singing and having fun while staying over in his can. Mr. Hooper locks up the store for the night, then realizes he's left his house keys inside; Luis won't be around to help open the store until tomorrow. David wraps up some painting in the garage and claims his keys are in his other pants...which are also in the store. This means he can't go home either, nor can Barkley, who was going to spend the night while the paint dries. The two think of who else they could stay with - Maria's cousin Mercedes is occupying her spare bedroom and Bob is out of town playing a concert. Olivia invites them to stay at Gordon and Susan's apartment, but a broken water pipe has everything inside soaked.

Oscar tells the Grouch box office worker that he only needs tickets for himself and Bruno, while the adults protest in the can over Oscar's lies. Oscar tries to dupe the worker into thinking the voices are himself or his stereo, but the others drag him into the can. They pop up one by one to count off how many there actually are. Oscar doesn't have $8 to get them all inside, so the adults suggest they go back to Sesame Street and sleep instead.
This scene, as well as behind the scenes footage of the taping, was released on 40 Years of Sunny Days.
