SCENE 1 Olivia will be watching over a friend's parakeet and Luis has picked it up for her. Poco Loco does not take to this strange, new bird, even when Luis encourages him to give a simple greeting. While Luis goes to get Olivia, Poco makes an attempt to break the ice and starts cracking up as the parakeet starts telling him bird jokes.

To Bert's dismay, Ernie then adds some strawberry syrup to the soda water, then a scoop of ice cream, and finally, some whipped cream. Now it's an ice cream soda, which Bert doesn't want... but Ernie does.

SCENE 3 Buffy comes into the Fix-It Shop to ask if Luis has seen Oscar around. Unbeknownst to them, Oscar is hiding in the shop's trash bin. They go out looking for him, as Oscar celebrates having the quiet store to himself. Suddenly, he hears the sounds of tools and correctly suspects Poco Loco is behind them. Poco drives Oscar mad making other sounds, so Oscar tells him to make the sounds of the middle of the night. Poco starts blaring like a fire engine, which can often be heard at night.
