	SCENE 1	Mr. Snuffleupagus comes over to meet Big Bird's friends, but no one seems to be around in the chilly weather. Maria's cousin Mercedes makes a mad dash back to 123 Sesame Street from Hooper's Store, barely noticing the two because of her fur hood. Big Bird explains to Snuffy how she's not used to the cold because it's always warm in Puerto Rico. Snuffy thinks they can bring Puerto Rico to Sesame Street by getting 500 Snuffleupaguses to move it, but comes up with a better idea - making Sesame Street look like Puerto Rico.

	SCENE 2	Snuffy and Big Bird have set up some two-dimensional palm trees and a sun in the yard. Big Bird also has a tape recorder of sounds he recorded from his trip to Puerto Rico, complete with the sounds of the shore and some coquí chirps. Big Bird runs off to fetch Mercedes and company, making Snuffy promise he won't move. Snuffy realizes he needs his bathing suit to properly simulate Puerto Rico and runs off to get it. Big Bird leads Maria, Mercedes, Gordon and Susan out to their faux-Puerto Rico. Mercedes says it feels like home and Maria proposes they grab their bathing suits and wear them over their coats. The others find it silly (save for Big Bird), but agree to get some beach balls, towels, shovels, etc.
	SCENE 2 cont'd	As everyone else heads inside, Snuffy returns in his bathing suit and recommends Big Bird wear the same.

Big Bird explains that cacti, like plants, are alive but cannot speak; Zero breaks the disappointing news to Susan when she returns.

	SCENE 4	Maria calls everyone over to hear a singing tuna. Big Bird and Zero assume this means a fish, but Maria clarifies that a "tuna" refers to a performance tradition carried over from Latin America and Spain. Some musicians arrive and explain their instruments and the importance of their costumes before playing "La Morena de Mi Copla" for everyone.
	Muppets	Ernie & Bert — Bert says he's too cold, so Ernie goes overboard to get him warm by putting layer after layer of clothing upon him. This makes him too hot, so Ernie opens the window, gives Bert an ice bag, and brings his electric fan. (First: Episode 0418)

	SCENE 5	Mercedes, struggling with some English, is able to thank everyone for making her feel at home. As Mr. Hooper passes out some "pasteles," Zero begins to feel homesick for his home at the South Pole. Mercedes proposes they get rid of the Puerto Rican fixtures and make things seem more like the south. Big Bird darts off to find snow (even though it's all over), as the band plays a Latin arrangement of the closing theme. Snuffy announces the sponsors.
	CLOSING SIGNS	Mercedes, Maria, and Luis hold the Sesame Street sign, while Olivia and Gordon hold the CTW sign.
