SCENE 1 | Gordon, Susan and Mr. Hooper have been invited to Big Bird's nest for a tea party and to finally meet Mr. Snuffleupagus, or so they believe. While they wait for Big Bird they try to guess what kind of excuse will keep them from meeting whom they think is Big Bird's imaginary friend. Big Bird returns with Snuffy's giant tea cup and wonders what's keeping Snuffy so long, when he receives a large snuffle-upagram from another Snuffleupagus (whom the others don't see outside the construction doors). The snuffle-upagram tells Big Bird that Snuffy and his family are off visiting Uncle Fred in Hawaii for the week. The grown-ups offer some imaginary snacks while Big Bird sadly wonders what he'll do all week without his best friend... |
