No matter how Ernie arranges them, there are still four cookies. Since Bert doesn't want to see four cookies, Ernie eats another one, making it three instead of four.

Cartoon A young bespectacled man with an accordion asks how much it costs to cross the bridge. The Bridgekeeper says admission is free, but requires that the young man show him three triangles. Two of them are found in the bridgework, and the man uses the bridgekeeper's staff to draw a third triangle in the dirt. Although the bridgekeeper has his order filled, he asks the man to play a tune on his accordion. This additional request takes the young man by surprise, but he is told to do so for the opportunity to cross the bridge.

Thus, Ernie sets everything out on the table, including pencils, paper, a pencil sharpener, and a wastebasket (which somehow ended up on Bert's head). Ernie is now ready to write a story, but instead, he leaves everything set out for when he gets an idea.

SCENE 3 Big Bird's latest scheme to prove Mr. Snuffleupagus' existence is to show them a picture of him. Because of Snuffy's large size, he had to take the picture in various increments and pieces together the parts with Jessica. As he goes to get someone to show it to, Snuffy wanders in and finds the photo. He thinks his mommy would like to see it and borrows it, leaving a large note behind. Big Bird brings Gordon over, where they see the picture is gone and only the note. Big Bird is certain Snuffy will return and convinces Gordon to sit and wait with him.

Mr. Hooper is taken aback at first, but believes it's merely a voice Big Bird is doing. Big Bird himself enters the store and tends to the call himself. Mommy Snuffle informs Big Bird that she wants to keep the photo of her darling son in the living room of their home. The situation leaves Gordon and Mr. Hooper speechless.
