	SCENE 1	Maria greets the viewer, taking in her surroundings on Sesame Street, until she notices Jordan with a bag on his feet. Jordan claims that he's waiting to reveal the latest invention from Dr. Nobel Price, who enters clumsily, then reveals his invention: walk stoppers, which look an awful lot like shoelaces. The only difference is that the walk stoppers are tied together, preventing the person wearing them from walking properly.

	SCENE 3	Next, Maria witnesses Oscar lead Telly and the Grouchketeers in another game, which has a poster with different amounts of onions and different numbers. The objective is to draw a line from one group of onions to the correct number in the group. Telly is nervous when Oscar calls on him, but he gets the answers right. Oscar tells the Grouchketeers to never give up as he closes the meeting, and Maria remarks to the viewer, "Even Oscar knows that sometimes Telly needs a little push."

	SCENE 4	At night, Maria notices Gordon sitting on the steps, dressed up, looking sad. Big Bird comes by and correctly guesses what's going on: Gordon and Susan were going to go dancing tonight, but they're having car trouble. When Susan tries to fix the car, Gordon hands her a greasy wrench and accidentally wipes his shirt and his face with his dirty hand. Just then, Oscar and Grundgetta pass by in the Sloppy Jalopy, on their way to the Grouch Tarnished Silver Ball. Noticing Gordon and Susan's dirty appearance, the Grouches invite them to come along.
