SCENE 1 At Hooper's Store, Aristotle shows Mr. Hooper the sign that Big Bird made him spelling his name out with popsicle sticks. He can't see it, but he can feel the different shapes of the letters in his name: “ARI.” Big Bird then comes in with a similar sign for Mr. Hooper as a gift – only it says “MR. POOPER.”

Insert Barkley sleeps in the Fix-It Shop. Maria and Bob wonder what he could be dreaming about. In Barkley's dream sequence (underscored by Wagner), he sleeps in a field, when he hears some kids calling for him to play frisbee with them. One of the kids throws it high up into the air, and in slow motion, Barkley chases it and catches it in mid-air. He feels so happy as the kids play with him in the grass. Bob and Maria wake up Barkley, assuring him that he was only having a dream. Barkley sighs at the loss of a nice dream.

SCENE 2 While Telly and Mr. Hooper wait for the bus, Mr. Hooper recalls that when he was a boy people rode trolleys instead of buses. Telly tries to imagine what a trolley looked like, but has trouble. Mr. Hooper has prepared for this and calls for help. Big Bird goes by ringing a bell and leading a group of kids who hold a "Sesame Street Trolley" banner. Mr. Hooper then recalls that before trolleys, stagecoaches were the way to get around. Telly tries imagining again, being aided once more by Big Bird who leads his team of kids dressed as horses down the street. When the bus arrives, Telly imagines it's a rocket ship, and Mr. Hooper asks the offscreen driver if he's going to the Moon.
Song Joe Raposo sings "Flies on Animals" over footage of animals bugged by pests.

SCENE 4 Bob and the kids look at a book titled Animals That Begin with A. Oscar listens in and claims he has each one that the book mentions: an alligator, an ape, and an antelope. Bob is in disbelief when Oscar goes on to say that he also has an anteater and an aardvark. ("Doesn't everyone?" asks the Grouch.) The animals are heard but not seen inside Oscar's trash can, so Bob asks to see one of them. Oscar shows them his alley cat named Arthur, from Albany, who loves anchovies.
