Big Bird thinks everyone can compensate by talking just as loudly, but David has him imagine how poorly things would go if they did. The call is instead from Mr. Hooper. Meanwhile, Snuffy gets a busy signal as he makes his call. This happens again when Grace calls her grandson David, which Big Bird mocks in frustration. David and Maria finally lock up, despite Big Bird's protests to wait for Snuffy's call. The phone starts ringing, but David insists whatever the call is about can wait until tomorrow.
