SCENE 1 At Hooper's Store, Oscar tells David and Luis about a new show airing on WORM-TV, "Call The Count." They turn on the set to watch the show. Telly Monster introduces the premise - folks from all over phone the Count and get a chance to talk with him. However, the Count instead starts counting the rings. He finally answers the call, but delivers a short thank you before hanging up so he can start counting how many people are calling in, frustrating Telly who vows revenge on Oscar. David and Luis dislike the program, ensuring it will be a hit amongst Grouches.

SCENE 3 The Amazing Mumford greets the students of his new School of Magic. His first lesson is teaching them how to make a letter M appear, then disappear. They all say the magic words and an M appears on Mumford's stand. When they try to make it disappear, the letter is instead situated on Mumford's head.

SCENE 4 Mumford and his students try another trick to get the letter M to disappear. Instead, their trick lowers the M through the lid of Oscar's trash can. An irate Oscar throws it right back at them after finding the letter on his piano. Mumford thinks this calls for extreme measures.
Cartoon A man invites an M to dinner. The M is very appreciative, and makes "Mmmmmm" sounds. It eats all of the food at the table, and winds up eating the screen!

SCENE 5 Mumford has one last trick up his sleeve to make the M disappear. He tells all the kids to close their eyes and say the magic words. While their eyes are closed, Mumford simply tosses the M out of sight. Barkley brings it back to Mumford, who sighs, "I should have been a lawyer."

SCENE 6 Mumford and the kids finally make the M disappear by announcing the sponsors, which changes the M into a V, then into a 4. The number 4 remains until everybody gets it to vanish with one last try. David follows up with the CTW slogan.

CLOSING SIGNS Susan holds the Sesame Street sign, while Gordon holds the CTW sign.
