SCENE 2 | Big Bird helps Mr. Snuffleupagus type a letter to Akim, recalling that she's allergic to his fur. Snuffy furiously types away at the keys to ensure Big Bird can deliver it while she's still at Hooper's Store. Over at the store, David and Akim hear the sounds of typing and the typewriter's dinging, then see Big Bird coming over with a large sheet of paper. Big Bird has to stand back and read it, as some stray Snuffleupagus hairs cause Akim to sneeze. Akim finds the letter sweet and agrees to write a response, despite David's resistance to anything Snufffleupagus-related. |

SCENE 3 | As Akim writes her letter to Snuffy, David pulls her aside to talk some sense into her. She believes there's no harm in playing along since it makes Big Bird happy, but David (having dealt with this situation for years now) insists Akim is just enabling this never-ending fantasy of Big Bird's. Akim finishes her letter anyhow and Big Bird rushes it back over to his nest. Akim's letter thanks him for writing and addresses him as "my new friend," which makes Snuffy very, very happy. He quickly types up another letter to her. |

SCENE 3 cont'd | David and Akim hear the typing sounds again; David assumes Big Bird is responsible once more. Big Bird brings over the finished letter, when they suddenly hear the sounds of the typewriter; Big Bird states it's Snuffy writing a letter to his Aunt Sadie. Since Big Bird is present with them, David struggles to find a rational source of the sounds. |

SCENE 4 | Big Bird orders a bag of birdseed and tells David and Akim that he's having turkey for lunch. David finds this uncharacteristic - "Big Bird gets upset when you talk about chicken salad," he tells Akim. He asks Big Bird questions to confirm that Big Bird actually is going to be having turkey for lunch. He and Akim then follow Big Bird to his nest, where they see he is having turkey for lunch - specifically his cousin Tom, a live turkey, whom Big Bird shares his birdseed with. Snuffy announces the sponsors, and the credits roll. |

CLOSING SIGNS | Grover holds the Sesame Street sign, while Kermit and a kid hold the CTW sign. |
Notes[]
- The script calls for Big Bird to say he read Run, Spot, Run, referencing the Dick and Jane early readers. The final episode substitutes Make Way for Ducklings, a slightly more advanced text.
- A clip from Scene 2 later appeared in Episode 2096.
