SCENE 2 cont'd | Big Bird resolves to get one of these hats and asks David if Hooper's Store has any for sale. Grandma hears about the hats and doesn't think they sound very practical. Big Bird imagines if everyone did own a where-it's-at hat - Maria can't eat her meal, Olivia can't properly photograph Susan, and David can't see where he's going while carrying a box. Big Bird agrees that the hats are silly and that he shouldn't have to do something just because others are doing it. | |
SCENE 2 cont'd | He skates past Mark and Mindy again, who can't see who it is. Big Bird explains his position on the hats to them and they are inclined to agree. Big Bird adds that the hats would prevent him from seeing where he's skating, though he manages to crash anyhow. | |

Forgetful repeats the message to himself, but forgets it when David returns. When David isn't looking, Poco repeats the message in Forgetful's voice, making David believe it was really Forgetful. He goes off to make the delivery, asking Forgetful to tell Grandma if she comes by. In a similar fashion, she hears Poco repeat the message and thinks it was Forgetful. She leaves him a message too and Poco repeats it back to David, still not looking in that direction. David commends Forgetful on his message-remembering abilities, though Forgetful remains confused. | |
