SCENE 2 Big Bird wants to help Olivia who's up on a ladder washing her windows, but she says she doesn't need any help. An elderly woman comes by asking for help crossing the street, and Olivia says she'll help her. Big Bird jumps at the chance to help and convinces Olivia it will be okay since he'll be with a grown-up. Olivia agrees, but moments later, she hears Big Bird calling from across the street: he needs a grown-up to help him get back. The old woman helps him cross the street and Big Bird then leads her back to the other side. Olivia senses a pattern forming...
Muppets Marshal Grover tries mounting Fred the Wonder Horse using a "run and jump" technique. But every time he gets close, Fred moves away from him, causing onlookers in the saloon to laugh at them. Fred finally explains that he doesn't appreciate the act, as it hurts his back. Grover promises never to run and jump onto his back again, and asks him to roll over so he may do so on his belly.

SCENE 4 Maria asks Forgetful what today's number is. He forgets, so she tells him to look at the paper. He's glad it worked, but asks her name, so he can write it down and not forget it again. While he's at it, he asks for the name of the guy who runs the stores, the fella who lives in the trash can, and every letter of the alphabet which he also forgets.
Film While walking and reading the newspaper, a man barely avoids DANGER on three occasions, but then gets hit by a revolving door.

SCENE 5 At night, Gordon and Olivia walk past the yard, where Forgetful is nearly buried in pieces of paper he's written things down on to remember.

SCENE 5 cont'd Just then, Big Bird and the old woman cross back to Sesame Street, which they have apparently been doing in a loop all day long. The old woman doesn't mind, enjoying herself. Forgetful rummages through his various bits of paper until he finds the sheet which has today's sponsors on it. Afterwards, the credits follow.


  • In addition to performing Forgetful Jones, Richard Hunt performs Oscar's paperboy in Scene 1.
