SCENE 1 Oscar has asked Telly to wake him up early in the morning, but gets up even earlier to set up a trick - he's placed several items that will cause so much noise, it will wake the neighborhood. Telly comes by for his appointed duty and notices the items (a gong, bat and bugle). Telly realizes each of these could wake up everyone around, so he resolves to simply call Oscar on the phone. Oscar, having watched the whole thing, calls out to him in anger, as Gordon asks him to keep down the noise.

Big Bird and Elmo chose their roles, though their reasoning is not because the professions are noble - Big Bird wants to fix things so he can wear the neat apron, and Elmo likes the click sound of a photographer's camera.

SCENE 4 David gladly permits Dr. Nobel Price to use one of the outdoor tables for an experiment. As David tends to a caller, he hears some destructive noises coming from right outside Hooper's Store. David comes out to find Dr. Price has removed the legs of the table to prove it can work just as well as it would with legs. David points out the one flaw in his theory - people now have to bend over to reach the items. He orders Dr. Price to restore the area as a comfortable eating place.
Cartoon A self-proclaimed "handsome" fly (voiced by Casey Kasem) is indignant about appearing in a segment about the letter F with a "fat and ugly" frog. The frog solves the problem by eating the fly.
