Dr. Price notes, however, that when Maria speaks through it, she sounds louder on the other end, so he calls it a “hear-o-scope” instead, which he'll use to hear the moon. | |

SCENE 5 | Through his “hear-o-scope,” Dr. Price hears an airplane and a crow, but Oscar secretly stuffs it with cotton when he's not looking. When Dr. Price notices he can't hear anything, he looks inside and finds the cotton, which he thinks is a captured moonbeam. Oscar then speaks through the cone, pretending to be the man in the moon and telling him to scram, further exciting Dr. Price. He tells Maria about his incredible luck, but she explains that Oscar played a trick on him, which makes him cry. She tries to cheer him up, while Snuffy announces the sponsors and the credits follow. |
