SCENE 1 | On his way to the department store, Gordon runs into Big Bird who asks to go with him. Grundgetta (poking out of Oscar's trash can) overhears them and attempts to guess what Gordon’s buying today. Gordon’s clues are: something to wear, something to put feet in, and made out of cloth. Grundgetta offers him Oscar’s yucky galoshes and socks, but she and Big Bird eventually guess correctly that he’s shopping for pants. Grundgetta offers him a pair of Oscar's yucky ones, but Gordon would rather buy a new pair since he and Susan are going to a party tonight. Grundgetta insists on going to the store with them. | |
