Big Bird would rather play with Snuffy, but Gladys is willing to act like a Snuffleupagus is they can nail down the part. Big Bird tells Gladys how Snuffy moves and how he says, "Oh dear..." He also drapes a dark towel and sticks a brown sock over Gladys's nose to resemble a Snuffleupagus more. Big Bird sees this as a fine solution and the two go off the to play, befuddling Gordon and Susan as they pass by.
