SCENE 1 Gordon makes a mad dash to the bus stop to catch the bus to school. As he waits, Big Bird pesters him with a series of "why" questions about his job. After Gordon boards the bus, Big Bird now starts questioning Susan and her job.

As Telly goes off to get some answers, Big Bird calls out, "Anytime you want to know something, all you have to do is ask your ol' friend Big Bird!"

Cookie Monster offers to give the bug a little cookie if it'll go away. The bug refuses, buzzing even more strenuously. Cookie tries a big cookie, but it still refuses. Cookie offers an almond cookie, a raisin cookie, a pistachio nut cookie, and a crunchy granola cookie. He realizes that the little bug doesn't like cookies. All he has left is a letter Z. The bug is excited, and buzzes off with the Z.

Animation By The Numbers: The sergeant orders the numbers to report to their barracks. When another roll call is initiated, number 9 has fallen asleep.
Muppets Director Kermit is making a western film with Forgetful Jones as the star. Forgetful Jones is supposed to enter through the saloon doors and shout, "Everybody, freeze!" Of course, he forgets this, and instead enters under, around, and over the door. He gets the line right for the first three takes, but when he finally goes through the door: "Everybody ... frolic!"

Cartoon A young man carrying a brown paper bag walks up to the bridgekeeper and asks him if he works there. He orders him to show him whatever circles are in the bag, and to eat them. He is ordered to eat three round foods: a cookie, a pepperoni pizza, and a slice of watermelon. Once he is granted permission to cross the bridge, however, he tells the bridgekeeper that he was merely trying to deliver the latter's groceries.

SCENE 4 Telly waits for Susan to come home so he can tell her someone exciting he saw today. Susan wearily comes home with laundry and groceries, not in the mood. She does promise to hear Telly out once she gets inside and puts her things down. However, just as she does so, a friend of hers calls on the phone. Telly accuses Susan of breaking her promises and thinks she doesn't care. Susan apologizes, not intending to break their promise, and is forgiven. Telly tells her the cool thing he saw earlier - a tow truck hauling away her Volkswagen (which Gordon had promised to move).
