However, his trick instead makes the kids disappear one by one. He tries one final time, finally making all the sodas vanish. David raises concern about the kids' whereabouts, but Mumford is too distracted celebrating his success. He goes outside and spots the kids and their sodas flying in mid-air. He doesn't realize they're the same kids from before, so he starts detailing his amazing trick to them.

SCENE 3 Telly and the kids are going to count the Count's pet bats, but they're fluttering around too much to be properly counted. The Count pulls out his trusty violin and plays their favorite lullaby. The bats hang themselves from the top of the stairs, allowing the others to count them. However, the tune has also put Telly to sleep before he gets a chance to count. The Count's thunder and lighting wakes them all up, and the Count agrees to play again, provided Telly can stay awake this time. Telly falls asleep once more as a sleepy David announces the sponsors.
