SCENE 1 Big Bird welcomes the viewer, eager to play ball with Luis. He arrives at the Fix-It Shop, where Luis is doing some work in the back room. Big Bird yells for him to hurry so they can play baseball. Luis then has an accident and emerges from the back, feeling he may have broken his arm. He orders Big Bird to get David, as Gordon arrives as well. They all pack into Gordon's car to go to the emergency room, but Gordon tells Big Bird to stay on the street. Big Bird begins to fear that this was all his fault.

SCENE 2 Susan looks for Big Bird, having been told about what happened over the phone with Gordon. She finds him sobbing and quells his concerns that this was somehow his fault by asking Luis to rush his work. She explains further that everyone was in such a rush to take care of the situation, they didn't have time to properly explain things to Big Bird. He starts to feel better and wonders how Luis is, so Susan tells Big Bird what's going on at the hospital right now...

At that very moment, Luis checks in and after answering some questions, gets his temperature taken.
Back on the street, Big Bird asks if they can get something to eat while Luis is in the waiting room.

As Susan narrates what's happening in the hospital, Big Bird worries that the x-ray will hurt Luis, but a young girl named Jan reassures Luis it will be okay. The doctor (Ron Foster) finds a small break in Luis' arm, but it will take six weeks to fully heal. This worries Luis, as he wonders how he'll manage in the Fix-It-Shop...
Big Bird believes he can help Luis in the shop, even if the only thing he's ever fixed is lunch, he claims.
