SCENE 2 | The ladies have lunch together, when Linda develops a case of the hiccups. Susan, a professional nurse, instructs Linda to hold her nose and close her eyes. This allows her, Olivia, and Maria to sneakily surround Linda and surprise her in an effort to scare the hiccups away. Olivia then jokes about taking a picture and Maria, claiming she can fix anything, waves her wrench and asks Linda to open her mouth. Susan turns professional and instructs Linda to bend over and drink a glass of water. Linda is cured, thought Maria and Olivia found this to be a humorous sight. The two develop their own case of the hiccups and the others leave them be to try and cure themselves. | |
