Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 Maria checks in with Oscar to see what's new in the world of Grouches. He informs her that he's looking for a job, but finds nothing suitable in the want ads of his newspaper. Maria mentions needing some help with the Fix-It Shop windows and Oscar jumps at the chance, boasting that he knows all about filthy windows. He goes to grab his pail and rags, while Maria remains (naturally) concerned.
Cartoon A hand draws a castle with a growling dragon inside, which scares the princess until her knight in shining armor leads the dragon away.

Since Oscar hasn't had lunch, he samples some of the soup David's been cooking. He finds it disgusting and adds his own touches to improve it. When David returns, he begins to weep at what Oscar's done. "Gosh, you try and help some people..." Oscar remarks, accepting the soup for a job well done.
