With Beaker off on a Star Trek cruise (where he encounters George Takei), Dr. Bunsen Honeydew realizes his life is very empty. Bunsen and guest star, Andie MacDowell, decide to take a walk on the wild side. Bob Keeshan and Ben Stein make cameo appearances, and the Fly Girls perform.

Skit Highlights[]

Notes[]

  • The original US airing of the episode differs greatly from the international version:
    • Clifford's introduction to the show, "Four Weddings and a Frog," and the Penguin Chorus (and its introductory scene) were all omitted.
    • Many of the backstage scenes and sketches are arranged differently.
    • After Bunsen and Andie's tap routine, an establishing shot of the cruise ship appears before transitioning to George Takei and Beaker.
  • The emcee of the Star Trek convention that Beaker attends is played by Bill Barretta.

Details of Bunsen's motorcycle were published as part of The Jim Henson Company 70th Anniversary Auction in 2025. It features a hole in the seat for Dave Goelz to perform Bunsen, and the right side has a flat board installed for puppeteer comfort. A metal rod is at the bottom to be attached to a dolly rig to make it roll and a puppet-sized foot rest has been added. The ldecal on the motorcycle reads "Hardley - Mavis Sportster."[1]
