Nanny keeps the Babies keep busy with books while they wait for the paint to dry in the nursery and for their toys to come down from the attic. Baby Skeeter doesn't want to read books and would rather do some exercise to keep active. At the end, Baby Skeeter finds out that books are interesting to read. By the time the painters and Nanny came in with the toys from the attic, the babies want Nanny to read them a story instead.
The stories that the babies read are Robin Hood, The Wizard of Oz, and Peter Pan.
