SCENE 1 | Dr. Nobel Price yells out on the street to everyone about his new invention. Maria and Luis come out of the Fix-It Shop to see his new alphabet, which he calls the "Price-phabet." He explains the only difference it has from the regular alphabet, is that the letter Z is replaced with a little smiley face named Fred, which makes no sound. Maria and Luis explain to Dr. Price that all the letters of the alphabet need to have a sound, using Z as an example. Dr. Price decides to replace Fred with Z, and thanks the two for helping him improve his invention, to which Maria admits to him that everyone already knows that alphabet, leading him to remark, "How do you like that! I just invented this alphabet yesterday, and everybody knows it already!" | |

SCENE 2 | Elmo brings Barkley over to the yard to play some Hide and Seek, and closes his eyes and counts to ten. Once he finishes counting, he finds that Barkley has stayed in the same place, and asks Barkley to count next. Just then, Luis strolls by and catches onto the situation. He explains to Elmo that dogs don't understand numbers and therefore can't count, so Elmo decides to pretend to be a teacher to teach Barkley how to count. Luis once again explains that he couldn't do that either because dogs don't go to school. Elmo understands but tries anyhow, but just as Barkley runs away Elmo realizes what his first lesson should be - not to leave the classroom without the teacher's permission. | |

Once Luis has thrown the ball and Barkley brings it back, it seems Barkley won't let go of the ball, which makes Elmo get the idea to play tug-of-war instead. | |
