SCENE 1 | David procures 12 ping-pong balls for Telly. He asks why Telly would need so many, and Telly begins his lengthy explanation: he's going to visit his Granny Monster, who has a ping-pong table at home. Thus, he needs several balls in case of various outlandish scenarios (such as a chicken mistaking one for an egg, or an octopus taking eight of them away). David assumes that the last remaining ball is in case Cookie Monster mistakes it for a cookie and eats it; Telly simply states it's actually for playing ping-pong with. |

He points outside where his bed is, intending to bring it along with him; he further explains that he can't sleep without his favorite pillow. David suggests bringing just the pillow, which Telly agrees is sensible. Telly goes off to then get his refrigerator. |
