This Sesame Street episode features the first appearance of Gina. According to Alison Bartlett in "Growing Up Gina," included in the December 17, 2010 issue of the Sesame Family Newsletter:

The script read that three students of Gordon’s science class were to accompany him up to the roof of 123 Sesame Street, and along with Big Bird, receive an inspiring lesson on the stars, galaxies, Big Dipper, Little Dipper and all the wonders of the world above us. Two students knew how to get to Sesame Street. One didn’t: Gina. That would be me. As Gordon and the gang sang songs and questioned the enormity of the sky, Gina desperately navigated her way through the neighborhood, while being barraged by Honkers and attempting to get the green Muppet in the trash can to help her. I wish I could say it was my acting skills that made this particular segment so comically believable but it wasn’t.

Picture Segment Description
2253 01a
SCENE 1 Big Bird greets the viewer and tells them he's going to look at the night sky with Gordon and some of his students from the rooftop of 123 Sesame Street. Gordon introduces his students: the overachieving Charlotte (Kerry Butler) and the sarcastic Rodney (Noah Moazezi), but a third student hasn't arrived yet. Charlotte explains that Gina (Alison Bartlett) is always late and the group decides they should leave her a note rather than wait for her and miss the sunset.

SCENE 1, cont'd Gordon writes the note and leaves it on the front door, but it falls off as the group make their way to the roof. Telly Monster finds the note and decides it's important enough to give to Gina. There's only one problem: he doesn't know who Gina is.
