Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 Luis tells Big Bird that his friend, singer Rubén Blades, is coming to visit today. Big Bird gets excited, then disappointed when Ruben arrives without his band; he thinks Ruben won't be able to sing now. Ruben assures Big Bird that he doesn't need his band and uses two screwdrivers as claves as he sings a short, Spanish song.
SCENE 2 Ruben sings "Ayuda" with Piri and the kids, who shout out the title word throughout the song.
SCENE 3 Telly has written a poem to welcome Ruben, but doesn't think it's that great. Telly has to make up words (such as "kabuben" and "Kalubin") in order to rhyme with Ruben's name, but manages to create one rhyme that makes sense - "Ruben" and "you been."
SCENE 4 Telly wishes to buy a new toy, but he doesn't know how to get the money out of his piggy bank. Oscar drops by and tells him smash open the bank, which will allow him to get the broken pieces. Oscar retrieves his hammer and Telly mulls over the idea, not fully committed to the idea of losing his piggy bank in such a manner. Piri stops Oscar in the nick of time and shows them the plug on the bottom of the bank. Telly decides to cheer Oscar up by getting him a new toy instead, but Oscar fakes being okay so he can get away.
SCENE 5 Ruben plays the claves for Luis, Piri and the kids.
