SCENE 1 | David finds Telly hiding behind the Hooper's Store newsstand, worrying about something as usual. He explains that Meryl Sheep is putting on a production called "Cinderella's Shoe" and he's worried that she might ask him to play a part, believing any number of ridiculous misfortunes could befall him onstage. David assures him nothing he suggests could happen, adding that Meryl might not even want him in the show at all. Telly feels a little better and comes out of hiding, right when Meryl Sheep arrives. She offers him the part of the Worried Prince in her show and now Telly begins worrying if he can't worry properly. | |
