SCENE 1 | Maria watches as Telly plays into Oscar's latest trick on him. Oscar has a painting of a silly-looking monster and has Telly yell, "Come over here and see the funny looking monster with the silly look on his face." This will attract people to see it and Oscar will pop up from his can to show everyone. However, Oscar doesn't pop up when Maria answers Telly's call, making him realize he's the silly monster. Maria asks him why he puts up with Oscar's constant abuse and Telly claims that Oscar won't be his friend unless he does what he's asked. Maria replies that Oscar is no friend if he treats Telly this way and comes up with a plan. |
