SCENE 2 | Telly has been entrusted to watch the Amazing Mumford's trunk of magical props while he attends the Annual Enchanted Evening magician party in Atlantic City. Oscar appears from his can with a plastic bottle megaphone, ordering all the residents to bring Slimey a present for his birthday. Telly doesn't have one yet, so Oscar convinces him to use Mumford's magic tools and conjure up a gift for Slimey, preferably some beach balls as Slimey likes to sunbathe on them. Telly dons Mumford's cape, then waves his magic wand. To his surprise, he manages to make a beach ball appear, but Oscar requests two or three more for Slimey to use with friends. Telly tries the trick again, causing beach balls of all sizes to fill up every shop, residence, and open space on the street (even replacing all the produce on Mr. Macintosh's cart). Telly tries to reverse the spell, but panics when he's unable to make the balls disappear. Oscar is left without a solution as well: "Is there a magician in the house?"

SCENE 3 | David is unable to deflate any of the beach balls clogging up Hooper's Store; Gina suspects it's because they're magic. Telly feels awful about what he's caused, while Oscar of course enjoys the chaos. Gordon proposes they get Mumford and Telly has the phone number to reach him at the party. Within moments, Mumford appears in his party outfit and details two options for ridding Sesame Street of the beach balls - he can either turn them all into cows (who will disappear by tomorrow) or the "Zero Option," which is to count all the balls, then turn the number to 0. There's far too many for any normal person to count, so Mumford commands his wand to do a magical count; they find there are 1,200 beach balls in total. With a magic rhyme, he turns the value to 0, removing all the balls from the street. Oscar takes a last minute opportunity to bounce on the balls in his can before they vanish (and cause him to fall). Telly apologizes to Mumford, but Oscar asks him to repeat the trick before he returns to the party so he can experience them disappearing again.
