SCENE 1 Mr. Snuffleupagus stomps around the street in anger, rattling the neighborhood. He tells Maria that his mommy was supposed to meet him and read him a story, but she's off giving Alice a bath. Maria calms him down and tells him why not to be angry. Moments later, his mommy yells that she'll be with him in a minute. Snuffy jumps for joy, shaking everything again.

Insert Mr. Snuffleupagus wants to play football with Slimey, but Oscar thinks the size difference will make the game unfair to Slimey. He suggests hide and seek. Snuffy looks everywhere and can't find Slimey. Oscar shows Snuffy that Slimey is hiding in his fur, and says the joke is on him. Instead of getting angry, Snuffy thinks it's funny and leaves to tell Big Bird that the joke was--literally--on him.

Muppets Western: Four Anything Muppet cowboys put up a Wanted poster for "the Great Cookie Thief", who's been stealing cookies from all the bakeries in these here parts. Cookie Monster is standing in front of the poster, and the others suspect that he's the Great Cookie Thief -- he has the same googly eyes, the same blue fur, and the same Western hat. They confront Cookie Monster, but he denies the charge: "Not have same mustache!" He shouts, "Look over there!" -- and while they're distracted, he draws a mustache on the poster. They apologize -- but then Cookie Monster takes off his hat, and cookies fall out. The Great Cookie Thief makes his escape.

He's made an umbrella-secured nest, a couch-like nest, and a bunk-nest. Luis invites him to the library, but Big Bird can't leave his shop. After hearing Luis explain how he and Maria alternate shifts at the Fix-It Shop, Big Bird realizes he needs to hire someone for his shop.

SCENE 3 Big Bird has hired Gina's friend Annie to work for him. He tells her to charge one bag of birdseed per nest. As Annie starts her homework, a Muppet bird drops in and asks to see a big nest to house himself and his family. The couch-nest is big, and the bunk-nest is bigger, but he needs the biggest nest she can offer.

The Muppet bird returns to complain about receiving a used nest, citing all of Big Bird's personal belongings still stuffed inside. Big Bird refunds his birdseed in exchange for his nest back. He tells Annie, "How about that? Our first day in business and we break even!"
