Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 Big Bird asks Gordon a series of questions about why the Fix-It Shop is closed. Once Gordon has answered all of them, Big Bird wants to make sure Maria and Luis know about everything they're missing while they're away on their honeymoon. Gordon suggests that Big Bird write them a letter of all the things he wants to say to them. Before he does that, he asks to borrow Gordon's pencil. "It always pays to ask questions!" Big Bird remarks.

Muppets Kermit at Home: Grover comes to Kermit's house to fix his sink. Kermit fills him in on a demonstration of "big, bigger, and biggest" when it comes to wrenches. Even so, the sink repair goes awry, and the house floods.

SCENE 2 Big Bird points out to Radar that Maria and Luis have already been gone for four days, so Big Bird tries to remember everything that has happened since they left. He starts at the very beginning: first, he stopped waving goodbye to them and walked back down the street. He put some litter in a can, then greeted Bob and Linda, and played fetch with Barkley.

Bob followed the instructions in the book, but to no avail. Then Linda came by, told him that he wasn't doing it right, and got Barkley to roll over easily. Big Bird hopes the same thing won't happen to him, since Bob is now reading a book on training birds.

Maria and Luis would have liked the show, because the main characters, Nelson and Jeanette, spent their time in the mountains singing to each other. They sang "When I'm Calling Baa," (a spoof of "Indian Love Call"). Big Bird hopes that Maria and Luis can catch a repeat of the show when they get back.

Big Bird is satisfied to have finished writing everything that has happened, until he realizes that things are still happening, so he'd better write those down, too. Gordon comes in with a postcard from Maria and Luis, saying that they'll be coming back tomorrow. Big Bird dutifully writes down each sentence Gordon says.
Cartoon An alien lands on Earth, looking for a Z to eat. He snatches one off a policeman's uniform, eats it, and rests.
