SCENE 1 David is beside himself when he arrives to open Hooper's Store and finds 40 gallons of milk sitting outside the front door. David tries calling the delivery company, insisting he was only supposed to receive 14 gallons. The delivery man can't be reached, nor can they send over somebody to correct the order; their recommendation - start drinking. Oscar comes over to witness David's bad mood first hand.

Maria and Luis stroll up to the window and Gina pitches various things they could eat that require milk in the recipe. She hopes they'll take several gallons, but they only walk away with one.

He believes the opera will put milk on the audience's brains and make them want some. Outside the store, Placido and the kids sing their milk-drinking song to a small crowd.
SCENE 3 cont'd After the performance, a cow approaches David, so entranced by the opera that she offers him some of her own milk.

David informs him that someone from the delivery company was able to come over and take back all the unneeded milk. A Muppet woman enters and orders a glass of milk, just as the supply is all gone. She begins to rant and rave, to Oscar's delight, as Luis announces the sponsors.
