SCENE 1 Gordon and Gina have placed a new birdbath in the arbor and wait to see what birds will make use of it. Big Bird has caught word of it already and strolls in with various bath accouterments. He becomes very upset when he sees how small it is and storms off, having cancelled his plans today to use the birdbath.

SCENE 4 David informs Big Bird that he's out of birdseed for the store and has instead prepared him some mushroom soup. Big Bird isn't sure he wants it, even though he's never had any before. David encourages him to make an imagination game out of it. Big Bird pictures himself as "Big Bird the Magnificent," whose amazing feat will be eating something he's never tried before. Back in reality, Big Bird tastes some of the soup and finds he likes it. Gordon and Gina come in and ask for some birdseed for their birdfeeder. Since the store is all out, Big Bird recommends they use some mushroom soup.
